Sadie and her ever-lasting supply of books
Sadie has a unique wish - to have an ever-lasting supply of books!
Sadie is 8 years old. And loves to read. She gets through 5 books a week which transport her to magical places and help her escape from real life.
Escaping is hugely important right now, as two years ago Sadie was diagnosed with a type of cancer called acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.
The impact of a diagnosis
The news was shocking to Sadie’s loving parents, Mel and Damien.
Over the last year, Sadie has faced an ordeal of sickness and pain as she’s battled leukaemia, and had to go through gruelling treatments like blood transfusions and chemotherapy.
How a wish helps
A wish can make a miraculous difference to children like Sadie.
It gives kids something positive to focus on, away from the fear and worry of endless treatments and hospital appointments.
You can help make Sadie's wish come true
To help Sadie escape from all the frustrations and discomfort she'll have to face, we want to give her an everlasting supply of books.
And Sadie’s books won’t just be an escape. They’ll help to give her the strength she needs to keep on fighting her illness – and the hope she’ll need to finally beat it.
