A record-breaking campaign

A whopping $2.7M has been raised by Hungry Jack’s annual Wishmaker campaign to help grant wishes of critically ill children across Australia.

Year after year, Hungry Jack’s Wishmaker campaign has broken its record, and remains our largest single fundraiser with more than $10M raised since 2021.

The funds raised in the last five years have helped grant numerous life-changing wishes. These range from becoming a zoo vet for a day, going on a first family holiday to Queensland, to transforming into a real-life princess complete with a Fairy Godmother.

The campaign ran from 1 to 30 June 2025, and communities across Australia united in an inspiring show of generosity, purchasing Wishmaker stars valued at $2, $5, $10, $50, $100, and $1,000.

We are incredibly grateful to be the recipients of all proceeds from the stars purchased during Hungry Jack’s Wishmaker. This year’s campaign exceeded its goal to reach $2.5M, raising the highest amount since its launch five years ago.

This remarkable result was made possible through the support of more than 470 Hungry Jack’s restaurants, suppliers, customers and supporters nationwide, highlighting the power of community.

Our crew members continued to embrace Hungry Jack’s Wishmaker with passion, and we’re proud to see such an outstanding outcome for Make-A-Wish Australia.

Chris Green, CEO of Hungry Jack's

“The unwavering support from our crew, customers, suppliers, and franchisees continues to inspire us to truly make a difference. It's a powerful reflection of the deep commitment we share with Make-A-Wish Australia and the meaningful impact we can create together,” added Mr Green.

Make-A-Wish Australia, CEO Sally Bateman shares,“We are incredibly grateful to Hungry Jack’s, their dedicated teams, and every customer who continues to support the Wishmaker campaign.”

“Each day, somewhere around Australia, a wish is coming true for a critically ill child. But as each wish is granted, another two new applications will arrive into the program. We rely on the community’s support to make wishes possible, and this incredible result will have lasting impact on the lives of critically ill kids and their families across Australia,” added Ms Bateman.

12, osteogenic sarcoma

Hungry Jack's Wishmaker - Cameron

While animal admirer, Cameron was being treated for his osteogenic sarcoma (bone cancer), he could often be found at a local pet store. For hours, Cameron would gaze at the snakes, bearded dragons, and other creatures that brought him comfort during a tough time.

Growing up in a pet-friendly household, Cameron was instilled with a deep sense of respect and nurture for animals. Being separated from his many pets during his treatments only fueled his devotion to animal welfare and sparked his wish 'to become a zoo vet for a day'.

An animal adventure

Cameron's Wish

Through the Wishmaker campaign, Cameron was granted a fully customised experience at the zoo!

He took part in a hands-on reptile care session, prepared food for endangered Cotton Top Tamarins, and toured the zoo’s wildlife hospital where he observed real-life veterinary care in action. For Cameron and his family, it was a day filled with wonder and learning.

“This experience has been specifically designed for Cameron, his interests, and it's just going to stay with him forever. It’s something really special he got to share with his family. It was amazing. Really, really amazing,” said Cameron’s mum, Marie.

His connection with animals really helped him, and me too as well! His wish really gave him that drive to dream of becoming a vet.

5, severe congenital heart disease

Hungry Jack's Wishmaker - Inayah

Though diagnosed with severe congenital heart disease and progressive cardiac dysfunction, Inayah tried her best to maintain her well-known confident and sassy attitude.

"Inayah’s health and medical needs have had a huge toll on her for the past 5 years," says Jay, Inayah's mum.

Inayah has been dressing up as her favourite princesses her whole life and loves everything about them, which is why she wished 'to transform into a real life princess'.

A princess transformation

Inayah's Wish

As well suited to any VIP, Inayah and her family received a royal welcome to The Langham Sydney, where they stayed for four fabulous nights.

On Inayah's wish day, she was escorted to a royal castle, via limousine. Here she met her Fairy Godmother, who provided royal training and a grand princess makeover.

After she was presented as an official princess on the grand staircase of the castle, Inayah plus all her favourite princesses and her family enjoyed an evening of singing, a delicious castle feast, and a photoshoot!

The first time she saw herself in the mirror after being transformed at her wish, she said she felt like a real-life princess and couldn’t believe her eyes.
