Jim's wish was just the ticket
When it looked like Jim had turned a corner in his treatment for blood cancer, it was time for his wish 'to visit Melbourne and ride the Puffy Billy Train'. But just as Jim was getting ready to set out from home, there was devastating news. Jim’s cancer had returned. And tragically, it was spreading.
This is when Jim's wish transformed into an urgent one.
And the team set out to design a similar wish that was closer to home for Jim's family.

Jim made the most of every day. He was always keeping his mind busy with hobbies, mostly trains. He loved trains.

Urgent wishes depend on your kindness
Sticking to the theme of 'trains', Sydney Trains delivered a package full of engineering goodies, Jim screamed with joy. And all this was followed up with a very special job - operating his favourite level crossing.
Sadly, Jim passed away not long after his wish came true.
But it's because of our supporters, that Jim and his family were able to spend valuable time together, honouring Jim's interests and making beautiful memories.
Please donate today to give other families the most priceless memories to hold in their hearts forever.
