Scarlett's Shopping Spree!

Following a heart transplant, 16-year-old Scarlett wished 'to have the ultimate shopping spree'. This lovely wish came true in August thanks to the help of Westfield Bondi Junction and our wonderful Sydney North branch volunteers. Scarlett and her family were treated to an absolute VIP experience at Westfield where all her wildest shopping dreams came true.

The day began at 9am, when Scarlett and her family were greeted by the Bondi Junction staff, and our North Sydney volunteers Jayne Economos and Christina Cole. Also waiting for them were colourful balloons spelling out 'Scarlett' and a personalised scooter for her to get around on the day!
Scarlett's personal shopper Maureen immediately took the family off to their first stop, All Kinds. They opened the store early and gifted Scarlett a goody bag including exclusive never before seen products - a personalised hoodie and tote bag with all of the essentials! Next stop was Brandy Melville for another exclusive shop before opening to the public. They also had a goody bag and offered Scarlett her first 10 items at no cost and a discount applied on all further items. It was time to get SHOPPING!
Over the course of the morning the family visited multiple stores including Platypus and JB Hi Fi with similar experiences. Maureen kept the family well fed with coffees, juices and snacks arriving as required. Prior to lunch, Scarlett had a makeover in Mecca and then it was time to relax and have a break. Boost Juice is one of Scarlett's favourite places and they had arranged for Scarlett to make her own Boost Juice which she LOVED!
For the afternoon, Scarlett and her family headed to Alannah Maria's where Alannah herself was in store to greet the family for a personal styling session. Scarlett and her sister Harper were able to choose their favourite pieces and design their very own custom bracelets.
After a big day of shopping, armloads of bags, smiling faces and full hearts, it was time to head home. Scarlett and her family had the most wonderful day! Huge thanks to Westfield Bondi who looked after the family so brilliantly and our fantastic volunteers Jayne and Christina for being there to support. What a special experience for Scarlett!
