Volunteering opportunities

Join your local branch

When you volunteer in your local branch, you'll become part of the #WishForce helping children who are fighting serious illnesses by:

  • Getting active in your local branch meetings (held monthly)
  • Helping local wish families by capturing their child’s unique wish and bringing it to life through all stages of the Wish Journey
  • Supporting local fundraising and events, from fun runs and sausage sizzles to gala balls and bake-offs
  • Raising awareness and support in your local community, helping drive our reach and impact to achieve our

    mission.

More ways to get involved

If you have a skill that you think may help achieve our mission, please let us know.

Examples of skilled volunteers who give their time include:

  • Corporate consultants who advise on our strategic plans
  • Photographers who help capture wish stories
  • Graphic designers creating artwork and marketing collateral
  • UX professionals advising on our website and digital volunteering platforms

From time to time, we have opportunities to support our head office teams with a wide range of tasks - from wish research, data entry, calling our supporters and other business admin activities.

Apply today and let us know if you're interested in joining the team.

Our work experience program gives students (aged 15 years and above) the chance to work with our head office teams to gain an understanding of all of the important elements that have to come together to enable us to grant wishes.
