Noah’s glorious garden
Despite spending much of his life in hospital battling mitochondrial disease and being tube-fed, 6-year-old Noah wished for a veggie patch so that he could cook for his mum and dad.
In the lead up to Noah’s wish, Jimmy Pickles the garden gnome went travelling all over Australia to gather the very best things for Noah’s garden –– and even sent Noah postcards along the way! “Noah was super excited,” shared his mum Kat, “especially when the Jimmy Pickles postcards started coming –– that’s when he started to feel like his wish was coming true.”
An amazing Wish Force worked late into the night preparing Noah’s very own veggie patch and cubby house – and his parents have no doubt the wish will make a huge difference to Noah.
“He’s going to get such joy seeing everything grow.”
“We’ll be able to grow safe foods and hopefully some of these plants will be the first things that go in his feeding tube. Even on Noah’s worst days he’ll be able to look at everything and see what’s going on –– it’s such a good, sensory place, and he’s going to get such joy seeing everything grow.” – Noah’s mum
