Australia's Most Reputable Charities announced
In December 2018, we were incredibly proud to be named among Australia's most reputable charities.
Make-A-Wish Australia was the only new entrant in the Australian Charity Reputation Index 'Top 20', which measures overall levels of trust Australians have in the local charity sector.
The 2018 Charity RepTrak® survey found that Australian charities overall are enjoying all-time high levels of trust - outdoing the for-profit sector when it comes to reputation.
It is a great privilege to be named as one of Australia's most reputable charities, and a tribute to our incredible #WishForce, who come together every day - without hesitation or agenda - to positively impact the lives of our wish children and their families.Sally Bateman - CEO, Make-A-Wish Australia
About the index
Charity Reputation Index
The annual Australian Charity Reputation Index has tracked Australians' attitude towards the charity sector since 2011.
In 2018, the global Reputation Institute (RI) who conduct the survey reported that Australian charities continued to grow in reputational strength, avoiding the erosion of trust currently felt in the corporate sector.
“While individual charities may move up and down in overall rankings, the sector itself continues to grow," said Oliver Freedman, RI Managing Director.
“The lowest ranked charity in Australia today still has a stronger overall reputation score than most of Australia’s corporations.
“As a result of continued efforts, Australians clearly view our charities as trustworthy, transparent, providing strong leadership and valuable services,” Freedman said.
