Wildest Dreams Come True!
The chance to meet Justin Bieber is something millions of children and teenagers worldwide are currently dreaming of.
For most, this will always just be a dream. That’s exactly what Australian fans Megan, Jet and Ellie thought. But Make-A-Wish® Australia, with help from our friends at Universal Music Australia, was able to help make their wildest dreams come true – they each met Bieber one on one, whilst he was here on tour.
The three Bieber fanatics and their families assembled in Sydney outside the hotel where the teenage superstar was staying. As VIPs they were then escorted through the crowd of fans inside, where they would each get time with their idol.

First to meet Bieber was Jet. Like the other girls, sixteen-year-old Jet has been a fan since Bieber first hit the scene. Jet’s condition, Rett syndrome, is a neuro-developmental disorder which means she is non-verbal. However this didn’t for a moment stop her from enjoying every minute, asking the star a range of questions with the help of an aid.

Thirteen-year-old Megan, who has cystic fibrosis (CF), was up next. Because the effects of CF are internal, Megan’s friends and school mates don’t really understand her illness – to them she looks and seems fine. Her family view the wish as a reward for everything she has and will continue to go through, living with a life-threatening condition.

Last but not least was eleven-year-old Ellie, who suffers from spina bifida – a condition that has her confined to a wheelchair.
The families were all amazed after Bieber met them privately and devoted more time to speaking with the girls, answering their questions, posing for photos and signing memorabilia than anyone expected.
Donna, Ellie’s mum, told us following the meet that Ellie was still absolutely over the moon. “The whole experience has been so wonderful and she was so excited that it’s hard to put into words just how amazing it has been for her to meet Justin. This really was a once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet her idol. Ellie’s very overwhelmed,” she said.
Similarly Megan’s family mentioned that they couldn’t explain in words what the experience meant and that now the whole family had “Bieber fever!”
“We are absolutely thrilled that Megan, Jet and Ellie got to meet their idol, Justin Bieber. It’s wishes like these that we work hard to make come true so that children and young people with life-threatening medical conditions, like these girls, have something to look forward to and help them through their difficult journey,” said Vici Funnell, CEO, Make-A-Wish Australia.
The trio were also treated to Justin Bieber fragrance gift packs (thanks to Escentials Brands) and became instant heroes among the thousands of fans who lined the streets surrounding the hotel, just in the hope of catching a glimpse of their idol.

“She’s probably smiled more today than in the whole last year combined” - Jet's mum.

“Thank you soooo much... you are all like angels! She’s still grinning from ear to ear!” - Megan's mum.

"I sincerely say thank you. Ellie's wish could not have been more perfect." - Ellie's mum.
