Work Experience/Internship Opportunities
Opportunities for work experience or internships will be advertised on our website. If you are interested in volunteering in our offices, please keep an eye out for a specific opportunity that best fits with your skills and experience and forward your written application and resume at this time.
How do I apply?
You can express your interest in becoming a volunteer.
To apply for a paid position, you need to provide:
- A covering letter detailing your interest and suitability
- An up-to-date CV providing information about your qualifications, skills, experience and employment history
What will happen next?
- We will acknowledge receipt of all applications
- We will review all applications in detail following the closing date
- We will contact short-listed candidates to schedule an interview
Our recruitment process will also involve role-specific psychometric assessments to gain further insights into candidates' suitability for particular positions and ensure a good match.

Who can work for Make-A-Wish Australia?
To gain employment with Make-A-Wish Australia you must be:
- A citizen or permanent resident of Australia, or
- A citizen of New Zealand
Visitors and temporary residents who are in possession of valid work visas (including Working Holiday visas) may be eligible to apply for casual, temporary or fixed-term positions, providing these are permissible within the conditions of the visas they hold.
Make-A-Wish will need to sight original copies of relevant documents, e.g. birth certificates, citizenship certificates, valid passports, etc, as evidence of eligibility before employment can commence.
